Boredom

This post will mainly apply to students. Everyone knows right now that it is summer. In the media, they portray summer as a time for partying, clubbing, beaches and all sorts of other bs. In reality, you're either sitting at home bored out of your mind or you have work. This applies especially to the kids living in the suburbs. I live in the suburbs. And let me tell you, it's absolutely horrible. But that's another blog post for another time..

The only things I've done this summer is going to the gym and sitting at home. I hate to say this, but I can't wait until school comes back around. I'm actually looking forward to meeting new people and having new classes (hopefully). There are also no beaches in North Texas. All we have are dirty muddy lakes. But sometimes getting a carton of ice cream and sitting outside can be relaxing (NOT in Texas where the weather is 95F - 110F). Enough with me ranting, how's everyone's summer or vacation? Bored with nothing to do? Partying all night? Or still maintaining a hectic schedule?

Buffets

Ok, so being Chinese myself, I'm aware of the massive number of Chinese buffets here. I actually went to one yesterday night. I'm usually a very adventurous guy, so eating Chinese food everyday of my life has really put a frown on my face when I see it. The thing I don't like about Chinese buffets though, are that they are completely bullshit! The food can't even be authentic because none of the 'Chinese' food in those buffets are actually eaten in China. Sure, we have the egg rolls and dumplings, that's about it. Orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, fortune cookies, and other well known American made foods are non-existent in China! If you go to Chinese buffets, you are definitely not getting any authentic experience of the Chinese's culture and food!

The ironic part is that Chinese people usually run it, so they know they aren't serving authentic Chinese food! Anyways, if you really want a taste and experience of Chinese food (mostly Cantonese because I'm from Hong Kong), search nearby for a dim sum place. If you have never heard of dim sum, it's basically a restaurant where they have various dishes on the menu and is typically a better reflection of Chinese food. However, there are some horrible dim sum places out there that I would rather not mention. Dim sum is good for group gatherings and just hanging out with friends while enjoying a nice cup of tea and taking a break from your hectic day. Tell us about your Chinese food experiences and recommend other types of Chinese meals I should try!

The Conjuring

Hey! How's everyone? Enjoying your Friday so far? Planning on giving yourself a heart attack tonight? That's right! The highly anticipated movie, "The Conjuring", is coming out to theaters today! Now if you don't know what "The Conjuring" is about, it's a movie about paranormal investigators helping a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse, set in 1971. It was rated 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and many people are clearing up a spot in their schedule just to see it tonight!

Apparently, the film is so terrifying that many people experience hallucinations after watching the film and there is a priest available for guidance and counseling. I'm sure this is just all for publicity but if you experience any hallucinations, make sure to tell me in the comments! This is a must-see for all horror movie lovers! I will link the trailer down below!

If "The Conjuring" is not on your schedule tonight, tell us what is your plan for this Friday night! It doesn't matter if it's you sitting on your bed watching Netflix with a gallon of ice cream crying or out partying at a nightclub, tell us all the juicy details! Feedback and advice is always appreciated!

Welcome!

Hey guys! First blog here, haha! I've never really done any thing like this before, so be patient with me please. Ok so I'm going to introduce myself first, I'm a guy and I live in the suburbs of Texas. Now I know what you're thinking, "Oh he's from Texas, he must be a redneck and ride horses." Yeah, no. There are some cowboys here though unfortunately. On with the introduction, this is my first blog post and I hope to build up from there. I really like the idea of sharing my thoughts and feelings with millions of other people. I would love feedback and help if I'm doing something wrong or just hear other people's thoughts! I plan on updating this blog often throughout the years. I'm a incoming sophomore this year in high school, just so you know.

This blog is going to be about life's occasional obstacles and joy. Giving advice and sharing with others about my life at times, telling people how to enjoy life to its fullest, ranting, and much more! This is what I'm planning on doing, but my plan might change in the future depending on what my blog and audience would like. I would love a variety of audiences. This isn't a blog that only applies to teenagers; it applies to all ages. If you guys would come on this journey with me to search and experience life, I promise you many amazing posts, photos, etc.. soon! I'm still learning how to work this site as we speak. I hope this blog will be something that people can relate to or read on a late night when they are in need of entertainment or advice. I know this is a very short blog post, but I'm working to improve :)

I guess that's it for now. There will be much more content coming up soon! Until then, enjoy your summer students! Or if you're an adult, make sure to relax some times. I know you're working hard!
